What we store, and for how long

Anonymous use stays anonymous. Here is exactly what each thing you create is, where it lives, and when it is deleted.

Anonymous session

WHAT: A random session token and your in-progress reading position. No name, email, or account.
WHERE: A first-party cookie on this device, plus a session row in our database.
HOW LONG: Kept for 30 days of inactivity, then deleted.

Bookmarks

WHAT: The readings you save for later. Saving requires sign-in.
WHERE: Our database, keyed to your signed-in account.
HOW LONG: Kept until you remove them or delete your account. Legacy anonymous bookmarks are purged on the 30-day anonymous-session schedule.

Notes & highlights

WHAT: Notes, highlights, sticky notes, and stickers you add to a reading. Saving requires sign-in.
WHERE: Our database, keyed to your signed-in account.
HOW LONG: Kept until you remove them or delete your account. Legacy anonymous rows are purged on the 30-day anonymous-session schedule.

Study chat history

WHAT: Saved study-chat threads (live chat drafts stay in this browser only).
WHERE: Our database for saved threads; localStorage for unsaved drafts.
HOW LONG: Saved threads kept for 90 days.

Archive & trash

WHAT: Completed plans and artifacts you have archived or sent to trash.
WHERE: Our database.
HOW LONG: Archived artifacts kept for 180 days; trash is restorable for 30 days, then purged.

Privacy Policy

Euangelion respects your privacy. We collect only what is necessary for the service to function.

We collect your email address for authentication and anonymous usage data to improve the experience.
