Matthew 14:30 (ASV) – But when he saw the wind, he was afraid.
What are you looking at when the storm comes?
Jesus made His disciples get into a boat, and the boat sailed straight into a headwind. Seven days on one night on the Sea of Galilee, read slowly from Matthew 14: the mountain where He prayed and could see them, the voice that came across the water before the wind stopped, the one word that held Peter up, the three-word prayer he prayed going under, and the hand that reached him at once. The week reads that night beside Ecclesiastes, whose Teacher says that the man who watches the wind will never sow, and it leans harder than usual on the Greek and Hebrew behind the words.
