How could I give you up, O Ephraim? How could I surrender you, O Israel? How could I make you like Admah? How could I treat you like Zeboiim? My heart is turned within Me; My compassion is stirred! I will not execute the full fury of My anger; I will not turn back to destroy Ephraim. For I am God and not man—the Holy One among you—and I will not come in wrath. (Hosea 11:8-9) But let justice roll on like a river, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. (Amos 5:24) For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings. (Hosea 6:6) He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? (Micah 6:8)
