ABOUT THIS SERIES
A king who had already won asked whether anyone survived the house that had hunted him. The answer was a man who could not walk, hidden across a river in a rich man’s house. Seven days on reconciliation, healing and mercy that goes downward: a word that appears three times in the Hebrew Bible and lands somewhere nobody expects, a shepherd who refuses to delegate the search, and a chapter that ends by telling us the man at the king’s table was still lame in both feet.
For anyone who has decided, quietly, that they are too damaged to be looked for — and for anyone whose healing has been slower than the rescue. This week does not promise that the limp goes. It argues that the limp was never what kept you out of reach, and it refuses the popular sermon that tries to hide it.
